About the Service
Platinum Select is an on-line dating/ matching service, which currently covers the whole of the U.K . We are devoted to finding you your perfect partner by using a simple matchmaking process to match you with like-minded people whom you would find interesting/ stimulating and suited to you!
Registering is a very simple process and you will be required to fill in an on-line registration form/questionnaire, which is designed to ask you about yourself, your likes, dislikes and your interests. This information will be used to create your portfolio.

Finding a Partner
Once you have registered you will have unlimited access to our database in which you can find your ideal partner. You will be able to see their details including photographs/likes/dislikes and general interests. If you see someone who appeals to you, you can introduce yourself to them discretely (minimising embarrassing conversations) using our messaging system. This sends your potential partner your details which begins the introduction process and can continue via our private messaging system until you are ready to meet.
How Much does it Cost?
It is absolutely FREE to join and SEARCH for your ideal partner. If you do find someone you wish to contact then you will need to become a full member. The cost of which is £2.99 for a week or £9.99 for one month.
How Many Contacts Will I Receive?
Because you are in control of both your portfolio and the number of people you introduce yourself to the number of contacts you will have is completely up to you. We would expect that you would receive on average 5-10 a month but it could be a lot more as we have an ever increasing membership.
What Type of People Use Platinum Select Dating?
Our members come from all walks of life. From production workers to company directors, the common thread of our members is the lack of opportunity to meet new people, as opposed to the inability to do so. Some people do not wish to meet a partner at a pub or club, some may work in a single sex environment, or some simply do not have the spare time to go out and look for someone. Our members represent an excellent cross section of society including a great deal that fall into professional groups.
How Many New People Sign up on a Day to Day Basis?
This vary's from day to day, however, we are currently experiencing over 20,000 hits per month on our web site and people join from all over the UK. Naturally, the density of our membership will follow the population patterns of the country as a whole. This having been said, we are confident that we can find a suitable partner in all areas.
Is the Use of Dating Agencies safe?
The use of Dating Agencies is safe. Naturally, we advise all our members to use their common sense when arranging a date. By this we mean not to meet for the first time at night, or in a secluded place, or arrange to be picked up from home.
When you join, we do give you a sensible guide on how best to manage your first date - the advice we give is the sort that your mother would give you - don't invite anyone to your home on the first date, don't accept a lift home, and make your first meeting a brief one, in a public place.
Updating your Portfolio
Remember your portfolio ( see above ) is what other members will use when searching for a match and so this needs to be kept as up do date as possible. You will be given your own unique Username and Password which will enable you to amend your portfolio whenever you like.
NEW - Check your Portfolio Stats - NEW 
This is a new service that we have provided so that our Dating Members can see how many times their portfolios have been looked at. There are two statistics that you will see.
- Portfolio Overview - this is when you have matched another Dating Members search requirements and your portfolio overview has been shown - This is your Alias, your first photograph and where you are from.
- Detailed Views - this is when another Dating Members has looked at your portfolio in detail.
This service allows you to adapt your portfolio so that you can get the most amount of interest from it.
Personal Information and Confidentiality
This is a private and exclusive Dating Agency that takes confidentiality seriously and we are fully covered by The Data Protection Act (Registration No. X4002905) which means 100% discretion.
Although you do give Platinum Select some personal details these are for our records only and we do not divulge these details to other members.
P.s Remember - you can if you wish give out an alias/alternative contact name.
What happens after I join?
You will be given a Password and Username so that you can log into your portfolio (see example). Each time you log in you will be able to check whether you have new contacts or any replies waiting.
You will also be automatically updated on any new upcoming social events organised by Platinum Select Dating
